William D. Kisinger
William “Bill” Kisinger, Musical Director of the Lafayette Citizens Band, is a retired Associate Professor of Bands from Purdue University, where he was the director of the Collegiate Band, the American Music Review, now known as the American Music Repertory Ensemble, and Associate Director of the Purdue University “All American” Marching Band.
Prior to his appointment at Purdue in 1969, he taught at high schools in both Illinois and Michigan, where all his groups received superior ratings in state competitions. Bill Kisinger holds both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of Illinois. A talented arranger with over 220 musical arrangements to his credit, Kisinger’s music is played by the Purdue “All-American” Marching Band and the American Music Review. He is also a virtuoso euphonium player.
